Welcome back to campus housing! Fall move-in will be from Wednesday, August 31, 2022 to Monday, September 5, 2022. Later this summer, students must choose an appointment date and time for their move-in to campus housing using the My Housing Portal.
How does BU summer swap work?
After regular housing selection, Housing makes the Summer Swap form available online. After housing selection, different housing places may become available as people take a leave of absence, withdraw from BU, or get accepted to Fall study abroad.
Where do most sophomores live at BU?
The 26-floor north tower houses juniors and seniors in an apartment-style setting while the 19-story south tower is home to sophomores, juniors, and seniors, in a suite-style setting. Freshmen and transfer students are not eligible to live in the Student Village residences during their first year.
Where do most BU freshmen live?
West and Warren are the most popular freshmen dorms. The rooms in both are pretty much the same size (small, but you get theat Freshmen Dorm Experience). I lived in West my freshman year which I loved at the time. West campus is nice little escape from campus.
Does BU have gender neutral housing?
Continuing students are eligible to participate in gender-neutral housing through room selection, room changes, and direct swap processes. Only students who choose to live in gender-neutral assignments will be assigned to these spaces.
How do I change my housing at BU?
Each student seeking a room change must submit a room change request. Each student must include the BU ID number(s) of the roommate(s) they request. If one student makes a roommate request and the other student does not, the roommate request will not be honored.

Is Boston University a party school?
Is Boston University a party school? Cases can be made for excessive partying, but the truth is, it does not permeate the entire college at all. If you don’t go looking for parties/drinking/drugs, then you are unlikely to find any. The school is large enough where almost anyone can come out of their shell.

Can you request a roommate at BU?
The online Housing Application allows students to create groups of potential roommates. When the Housing Application opens in early February, students will be able to start sending and accepting roommate requests using their friend’s BU ID number.

Each floor shares two common bathrooms (except second floor). Coed floors have one bathroom for men and one for women.
