Is Kent State parking free on weekends?
The Student Center visitor parking lot is also free on the weekends but the lot may be closed periodically for special events. Permits are required in the restricted areas around the residence halls and payment is required through the parking meters or mobile app (Passport) in these marked zones.
How much is a parking pass at Ohio State University?
These permits are either “C” or “B” surface lot permits and cost between $384 and $567/year. Some of our students purchase a parking garage permit and park in either the Lane Ave., Tuttle, Northwest, or Arps Garages. A garage permit costs between $1008 (C Garage) and $1025 (B Garage) per year.

Do freshman have to live on campus at Kent State?
All undergraduate students are required to live on campus, unless they meet the conditions for Off-Campus Housing. Graduate students or undergraduate students who meet the requirements to live off-campus are encouraged to wait until arriving to Kent State to secure their housing to avoid any legal issues.

The housing application provides an area to request another individual to be your roommate. There is space to request up to three individuals (the first space should be used for your roommate request if you are interested in a double room.
Is Kent State Housing first come first serve?
When filling out your application, please provide their full name and Kent State email address. Please note that housing assignments are made on a first come, first served basis. In addition to applying early, it also would be to the students’ advantage to apply together.
