Can You Eat In The Byu Library?

To minimize damage to the collection and maintain a clean environment conducive to quiet study, the Library has a NO FOOD policy on levels 1, 2, 4, and 5. With the exception of desktop computer stations, Level 3 is a food-friendly floor.

Eating is allowed throughout Level 3 (the entry level of the Library). Please do not have food or drink when seated at a Library computer. There is a handy food friendly Snack Zone located at Level 3 Central. All beverages must have screw top lids.

When it’s your turn, go up to the desk and place your books and your card on the desk. Always have your library card when you’re taking out books. The librarian will scan your card, scan the books, tell you your due date, and run the book through a machine so it doesn’t set off the alarm.
