The Smith Campus Center serves as a welcoming and vibrant entrance to Harvard University as well as a comfortable and convivial gathering space. It is open to all members of the Harvard community, visitors, and current and prospective affiliates.

Yes. You can certainly walk around both campuses. Parts of some buildings are open to the public, such as the main building at MIT or the Science Center at Harvard, but most are restricted. Both schools have facilities such as museums, chapels, &c that the public can visit.

Is Harvard Extension School respected?
We are a fully accredited Harvard school. Our degrees and certificates are adorned with the Harvard University insignia. They carry the weight of that lineage. Our graduates walk at University commencement and become members of the Harvard Alumni Association.
Can MIT students use Harvard library?
The MIT Libraries has a reciprocal borrowing agreement with Harvard College Library for MIT faculty, students and research staff. Eligible community members may apply online for an HCL Special Borrower card.
