Can freshman bring cars to University of Michigan?
Permits are distributed on a first-come, first-served basis. Due to the limited parking situation, students living in residence halls are strongly encouraged not to bring cars to campus. There is no student parking available near most of the residence halls.

Can you have a car on campus at U of M?
General Information. If you would like to park your car on campus, there are two types of parking lots. There are lots that are run by U-M Housing and general lots run by U-M Logistics, Transportation and Parking. U-M Housing has a small number of parking spots on campus.
Can sophomores have cars at University of Michigan?
All students, including freshmen and sophomores, are eligible to purchase Student Storage parking permits. Class level is determined by your status as stated in the University’s student database. Transfer students may need confirmation of their class level from their University advisor.
Do you need a car in Ann Arbor?

There is no charge for metered University of Arizona parking on weekends and holidays. There are 10 parking garages on campus: Cherry, Highland, Main Gate, Park, Sixth Street, Tyndall, Second Street, South Stadium, Honors Village (permit only), and Health Sciences.
Can you park overnight at U of A?
Yes, you can park on campus overnight. From April 1st until November 31st you can park in any lot overnight (excluding Black Zones, Accessible Parking, Fire Routes or any areas marked 24 hours). From December 1st until March 31st you must park in one of the assigned overnight lots.

Parking is available for $20 in South Stadium Garage and Cherry Ave Garage (Disabled parking only. Quantities are limited and available while supplies last.) Parking is available for $10 in the lot 7105, 4052 and 2025 as well as 6th Street and 2nd Street garages.
