Can Bryn Mawr Students Take Classes At Penn?

Bryn Mawr students may enroll in courses at Penn as guest students through an agreement called the Quaker Consortium.

Yes. Not only are you able, but we strongly encourage you to do so. Penn undergraduates may take courses from any of Penn’s 12 schools, which are all located on the same physical campus.

Mawrters can take classes and explore new disciplines at Haverford, Swarthmore, and the University of Pennsylvania. They can even major at Haverford or enroll in one of our Bi-College or Tri-College academic programs.

Can Swarthmore students take classes at UPenn?

Swarthmore students may take undergraduate courses at UPenn. More information is available from the Registrar’s Office. Students who do so may receive reimbursement for their train fare to and from Philadelphia for their course meetings.

Remember that Haverford students are permitted to register for undergraduate courses only (course numbers 499 and below). Students may take a maximum of two courses at UPenn per semester, not exceeding 2.0 credits. Complete our new online registration form . This form will be sent to your advisor for approval.
