Is housing guaranteed at UNH?
Reserved housing means that, while we guarantee we have a space for you, we do not have your exact room assigned yet. UNH has a policy of housing all first year students who request to live on campus, so don’t worry – we have room for you!
How do I cancel my housing at UH Manoa?
All housing cancellations must be in writing and submitted to Study & Stay Hawaii by email at [email protected]. Before you arrive: If you cancel more than 30 days before you arrive, you will get a full refund minus the Placement Fee and Deposit.
Can you choose your roommate at U of H?
You can find a roommate using RoomSync. RoomSync is a self-selection app that allows you to find potential roommates that you may be compatible with. After you applied for housing, you should’ve received an email with a link inviting you to join RoomSync that will prompt you to set up your online profile.

At UNH: Service animals are by law allowed to accompany their handler anywhere the general public is allowed. That same law does not apply to emotional support animals. Individuals who wish to bring an emotional support animal onto campus must request an accommodation.

Campus residents may hold EITHER a car permit or a motorcycle/moped permit, but not both. Freshman campus residents are not ordinarily eligible to hold a Resident or Resident West permit.
