Pets that pose an immediate threat to the safety of individuals are not allowed on to University Facilities. In general, members of the campus community are prohibited from bringing pets into campus buildings.

How do I request a roommate at UC Berkeley?

Each student must send their request, via e-mail ([email protected]), indicating the name and SID# of the new requested roommate. If you have different contracts for different room occupancy or units, it is unlikely that we will be able to accommodate your request.

Does UC have coed dorms?

Each of our communities has their own personality and style to provide students with a comfortable living space for growing and learning while at UC. We also offer Gender-Inclusive Housing options for students to find a residence hall space that best meets their needs.

Can you choose your roommate in UCR?

If you met someone during Highlander Orientation or know someone who will be attending UCR, you can specify a roommate on your Housing Contract. Otherwise, roommate assignments are based on the Housing Contract’s personal preferences section.
