Students may purchase parking permits on a semester basis. The permit allows eligible students to park at all times during the week in any general parking lot. Students may have only one vehicle on campus, and shall only be issued one parking permit.

Visitors are welcome to park in the Katzen Center Garage. Parking is available at an hourly rate. Visit the “Pay as You Go” pay stations located at the pedestrian exits. Parking permits are enforced on campus and in the Nebraska Avenue Lot from 8:00 a.m. until 5:00 p.m., Monday through Friday.
Can I visit American University?
We ask that all visitors register for a visit at least 24-hours in advance. All guests/visitors must be fully vaccinated and will need to present proof of full COVID-19 vaccination at check-in, per our Covid-19 Health and Safety Protocols.
