Do you need a car at Brown University?
You definitely do not need a car on campus– almost nobody does even in senior year. The longest walk you’ll ever have to make from end to end is 15 minutes. But with that said, Brown students are given free access to RIPTA, the statewide bus system.

Where do you park when visiting Brown?
Visitor Parking. Visitors may find parking in Lot 68 Upper, also called the Power Street Parking Garage, located at 111 Power Street. The garage entrance is located at the intersection of Power and Thayer Streets (View Map). The garage has two gate arms which are left open.
