For most schools, submitting the Common App is not quite the end of the process. You’ll also need to submit your school-specific supplement, and you cannot do so until your Common App itself is submitted.
Should I submit Common App before writing supplement?

What happens after submitting Common App?
Following the submission of your application, all of the information you have provided is sent to the Common Application’s data warehouse where it is electronically distributed to the schools on your college list. To find out if a college has supplemental essays, add the college to your Dashboard by typing it in the College Search section text box (college name) and then selecting “Search, then “Add.” The college will then populate in your Dashboard and in your “My Colleges” tab.
Why is the common app not letting me submit?
Information. If you cannot submit your application, check to make sure you are applying for a current start term and decision plan. For example, if the Early Action deadline has passed, you cannot apply for Early Action.
Do letters of recommendation need to be submitted by the deadline?
