Do you have to dorm at Drexel?
Per Drexel’s 2-Year Residency Program, first-year students are required to live in a Housing and Residence Life residence hall; second-year students must live in Drexel Residence Halls, a Drexel Fraternity of Sorority house, University-Affiliated Housing, or the Haven at Drexel.
Does Drexel have single dorms?
There are no single occupancy rooms, except Stiles Hall which only has single occupancy rooms. If a student requires a single room accommodation while residing on campus, they are welcome to reach out to our campus partners in Disability Resources at [email protected] or 215.895.
Does Drexel make you live on campus?
While you may not live on campus, Drexel will become your home away from home for dining, recreation, social activities, and, of course, studying with friends!

Generally, students are not allowed to bring any pet/animal, regardless of ownership, into any University-owned or -operated building, or chain an animal outside any University-owned building. All animals that can be leashed must be kept on a leash at all times while on campus.

Yes; Drexel University owns all of its fraternity and sorority houses, and they are located on 34th Street and Powelton Avenue.

Is Drexel a fun school?
Drexel students have a lot of fun but the 10-week quarters and Co-op cycles are rigorous. I wouldn’t recommend Drexel to someone who doesn’t like the city. It is located in West Philadelphia. It isn’t dangerous but it isn’t rural Kansas either.

We are happy to welcome visitors to campus! Visitors to Drexel campus facilities should comply with Drexel’s public health policies and procedures, including wearing a mask in all “Masks Required” spaces. Currently, visitors are not required to check in using the Drexel Health Checker Visitor Pass.
