Can I use my UCAS account from last year?
You’ll need a new UCAS account, but you can reuse your personal statement – but make sure you update it to include anything that has changed since your last application.
Can I use the same UCAS account twice?
You’ll need to make a new account and fill everything in again. You can re-use your personal statement if you wish. You really should consider updating it though, as you’ve had a year of new experiences. Your school would have to provide a reference, but they can use the same one if they wish.
Do you have to register again on UCAS every year?
Yes you have to fill it all in again. You wont be flagged as plagiarising if you reuse your own PS content from previous years (but make sure you didn’t share it anywhere publicly).
Can you delete a UCAS hub account?
If you are linked to a school/college then they can delete it for you, although as an international student this is unlikely. Is that so?
Can I make 2 UCAS applications?
No – you can only send off one application to UCAS per cycle. However, if you have used less than your maximum of 5 university choices, you can add more choices via UCAS Track, depending on the status of your application.
What is UCAS clearing?
UCAS. What is Clearing? Clearing matches applicants to university places that are yet to be filled. It’s available to anyone who has made a UCAS Undergraduate application and doesn’t hold any offers.
How do I delete my UCAS application?
If you change your mind about applying, you can cancel your application and request a refund within 14 days of applying. Simply fill out the form below and click the ‘Submit’ button.
Can I make a new UCAS?
You must make a new application through UCAS. You’ll have to declare your previous application.
Can I use the same personal statement for different universities?
You shouldn’t submit the same personal statement to multiple different schools, just changing the school and program names. Even though the application committee won’t know this for sure, they’ll get a sense that the whole statement is just a little too generic.
Can you use same personal statement twice?
Yeah you can if you are reapplying the year after if you were unsuccessful the first time round, they don’t say it is plagiarism if the same person sent the same statement twice, seeing as you wrote it the first time round. Obviously if you changed your statement they will still check.
Do universities know where else you’ve applied?
Other universities cannot initially see where you have applied. So, you can make your choices in UCAS without worry! However, universities do find out once you have accepted your offers or have no live offers available.
Do I have to pay for UCAS again?
You can only pay for your UCAS application when every section is marked with a red tick. If you’re applying through your school or college, they’ll be able send us your application after you’ve paid. If you’re applying independently, you can hit ‘pay/send’ straight away once your referee has completed their reference.
How do you delete a university application?
To delete the entire application: Open the Application Information page of the application you wish to delete. From the Actions panel, select the Delete Application button. A confirmation message displays as follows: You are about to delete this application.
Can I cancel my university registration?
You can give the college authority a letter in detail stating that you want to cancel the admission in the college. Take an acknowledgement from the college after giving this letter request them to return your documents if they don’t return then you will have to file a petition against the college authority.
What happens if I withdraw my UCAS application?
If you withdraw, you will not be able to make another application during the academic year, and you will not be eligible for the Clearing system. If you withdraw due to personal problems and wish to re-send an application for the same academic year, write to UCAS, giving full details of your situation.
Can you cancel your UCAS application and reapply?
You can cancel a choice or your whole application.
If it’s just one choice you’d like to withdraw, you can cancel it (as long as the university or college hasn’t sent us their decision yet). If you’ve changed your mind about applying to higher education, you can cancel your application and get a refund.

How many times can you apply through UCAS?
Please note, you can only apply once in a cycle.

Do clearing accept lower grades?
Most universities that have course vacancies during Clearing will be prepared to accept you if your grades are below their entry requirements as long as you sound passionate and are right for the degree subject. They may also accept you based on the UCAS points you’ve accumulated rather than you final grades.
How long does clearing last?
Clearing lines are often busy, particularly on A Level Results Day, so it’s normal to have to wait a short while. However, universities are well equipped to manage a high volume of students getting in touch – so, this step should take no longer than 20 minutes at most, and a couple of minutes at least.
