Effective March 1, 2019, SFSU increased the amount of the discount to 50% for trips to/from the BART Daly City Station. The school reimburses BART for the difference between the regular fare and the discounted fare paid by the student, so the program is revenue neutral to BART.
Is BART free for SF State students?

2021 marks the 22nd consecutive year that we will offer free rides on New Year’s Eve. Starting at 8 p.m. on Friday, December 31 and going through 5 a.m. on Saturday, January 1, all trips on Muni will be free.
