What does drop with grade mean?
Once you have dropped a class, you no longer have to attend it, and you will no longer receive a grade in that course. Instead, there will usually be a “W” (for “Withdrawn”) next to the course’s name, instead of a letter grade, on your transcript.

What are fall and spring semesters?
Fall semester begins in September and ends in December, whereas the Spring semester starts in January and ends in May. There are two main reasons why universities accept students in two different intakes rather than just one. First, it is not easy to accommodate too many students in a single semester.

What is full time in UNM for summer?
Six to nine (6 to 9) hours is considered full-time. Students are assessed for six (6) hours when they are registered for 6, 7, 8 or 9 hours. Students are again charged per hour beginning at the 10th hour. UNM does not charge non-resident tuition in the Summer session except for students in College of Nursing Programs.

What does W mean in college?
withdraw
Students may withdraw from a course with any of the following grades: Withdraw (W), Withdraw Pass (WP), Withdraw Fail (WF). A grade of W indicates that the student withdrew from a class with no effect to the student’s GPA.
What does Aw mean in college?
administrative withdrawal grade
The “AW” or administrative withdrawal grade is assigned by the college when a student has been administratively withdrawn. No academic credit is awarded. The course will count in attempted credits.
