Do Purdue dorms have refrigerators?
All lofts have a bed rail pre-installed for safety. The MicroFridge rental is a one-of-a-kind unit that includes a refrigerator, freezer and microwave.
Do Purdue dorms have a curfew?
No, there are no curfews. Doors lock at 11:00 p.m. and residents must either swipe in with their Purdue ID card or go through a main entrance to gain access, but residents are not required to be in their rooms at any time.
Which dorms have AC at Purdue?
Doubles with AC are available in Earhart Hall, Harrison Hall, Hawkins Hall, Honors College and Residences, McCutcheon Hall, Shreve Hall, Meredith South and Windsor Halls. Economy Double without AC All of the same features as our Double with AC, but with less square footage and without AC.

If you’re thinking about picking up an electric blanket, these are against the majority of dorms’ rules, unfortunately.
What is the best dorm at Purdue?
That being said, here’s what I would say for best dorms:
- Third Street, Third Street North (I believe they’re called Griffin Hall now?), Meredith South, honors- the newest dorms on campus.
- Hillenbrand- Suite style, has a dining court on the bottom.
- Shreve & Earhart- where I lived freshman year.
Can I bring a knife to Purdue?
Purdue’s current policy is that students are not allowed to carry concealed guns or weapons of any kind on campus.
Can freshman have cars on campus at Purdue?
Randomly selected Freshmen can win an opportunity to pay for a pass to park their cars on campus through the “Freshmen Parking Lottery.” For students that live further than 1.5 miles from campus, a “C” Parking Pass is required to park your car on campus.
Is alcohol allowed in Purdue dorms?

Dorms are typically a two-person room with a community bathroom and all rooms have air conditioning. These dorms are also conveniently located next to McCutcheon parking garage.
Do all Purdue dorms have air conditioning?
All apartments are air-conditioned. Please help us conserve energy by keeping the thermostat set at 72 degrees.
How do you do laundry at Purdue?
Most dorms will allow you to either use quarters that go directly into the washers and dryers or to put money on you Boiler Express to use for laundry. All you have to do is swipe your student ID on a key pad in the laundry room and then type in the number or numbers corresponding to the washer or dryer you are using.
What appliances are not allowed in college dorms?

According to Daniels, the most commonly banned items in dorm rooms include George Foreman grills, hot plates, toasters, toaster ovens, large refrigerators and electric skillets. Anything with an open flame is also universally prohibited across most residence halls.
Are air fryers allowed in dorms?
In most cases, air fryers are an allowed cooking appliance to add to your dorm room. Always check your college regulations on dorm room appliances before purchasing products that might not be allowed. Air fryers are safe to use, do not emit smoke or use an open flame, and can have your meal cooked in just 20 minutes.
Can I have an ice maker in my dorm?
Ice trays. Some dorms will have ice machines — but most won’t. Buying a few inexpensive ice trays will pay off big on hot days when you need a nice cold drink, and since other students probably wont be bringing their own, having a few on hand can help you break the ice.
Is Purdue a party school?
Many times parties at Purdue are not very large or original because there are more guys than girls and the frats of most the big parties. It gets old to go to frat parties, especially if you’re not a brother there.
