Can you live off campus at Rice?
No student is required to live on campus; however, those members of the colleges who live off campus are encouraged to eat in their colleges and to participate in college activities.
Does Texas A&M require Covid vaccine?
Does TAMU require the COVID-19 vaccine? The COVID-19 vaccination is not required for students, faculty or staff. This voluntary vaccine is available to those who choose to receive it.
Is Rice University open to public?

Does Rice accept GED?
Applicants may submit GED results. SAT Scores: Students who are unable to submit test scores or prefer not to submit test scores will be given full consideration in the admission selection process.
Does Rice accept community college?
Does Rice accept transfer credit from community colleges? We do accept transfer credit from community colleges, but please be aware that if you receive TRAN credit for any community college coursework completed prior to matriculation at Rice, you may not be approved to convert TRAN to Rice equivalent credit.
Does Rice accept AP credit?
Students scoring a 4 or 5 on accepted Advanced Placement (AP) exams before matriculation will receive course credit from Rice. Where applicable, credit will count toward your major and meet university distribution requirements.
