A buzzword is a unique term you can give to students applying through your centre. Students are asked for this buzzword from their application. It automatically links them to your centre – giving you permission to attach your reference, and view and manage their application.
How do you get a buzzword for UCAS?
If you have registered but not yet linked your application, ask one of your tutors for the ‘buzzword’ for your school or college, then click on ‘Options/Opsiynau’ when you are signed in to Apply. Click on ‘Link your application to your school, college or organisation’ and type in the buzzword.
Do Universities have a UCAS buzzword?

How do you add a course on UCAS Track?
How do I add a course in Extra? You add an Extra choice in Track. If you’re eligible, you’ll see the ‘Add an Extra choice’ option in the ‘Your choices’ section. Click on this link and enter the details of the university and course – UCAS will then make your application available to them.
Is UCAS number the same as personal ID?
UCAS number / personal ID – your UCAS number is your personal ID given to you by UCAS. It’s not the same as your Clearing number or ID.

Can I use the same UCAS account twice?
You’ll need to make a new account and fill everything in again. You can re-use your personal statement if you wish. You really should consider updating it though, as you’ve had a year of new experiences. Your school would have to provide a reference, but they can use the same one if they wish.
What does 3FT Hon mean?
“3FT/4FT Hon/IMD” is what I’m looking at (For computer science). From what I can tell. “FT” just means full-time so you’d be studying full time. The numbers “3” and “4” refer to however many years you do the course.
What does 4FT Hon mean?
It’s just tradition that they’re known as an MA. And the 4FT means it’s 4 years full time, because an undergraduate degree at a Scottish university takes 4 years as opposed to 3 in England (and the rest of the UK I think, but I’m not sure). 0. dbmag9.
How do I open a UCAS account?
To get started, visit ucas.com/hub. Make sure you’re on the ‘Register’ tab, and then fill in your details to create your account. Once you’ve hit register, you’ll be asked to verify your account. You’ll then be sent an email to the email address you registered with.
Do you pay for UCAS?

Can my Referee see my UCAS application?
The referee can only see the qualifications that require predicted grades. They cannot view the applicant’s full application. Once the referee has completed the reference, UCAS notifies the applicant, although they cannot see the reference.

The reference is particularly important as it is an opportunity to explain the student’s achievements and potential within their personal, social and educational context.
How do UCAS check references?
Just go to the ‘Options’ section in Apply and click ‘Ask a registered school, college or organisation to write your reference only’. They will then write the reference for you and a red tick will appear when the section has been completed.
