How and when will I be notified? We prioritize appeals for admission to the UW, and are typically able to provide a decision within 2 – 4 weeks.
When did UW-Madison decisions come out 2021?
As a result, we are unable to release all Early Action decisions by our published release date of December 31. Those who will not receive a decision by the new year have been notified via email to the address on their application. Residents of Wisconsin will receive their decision this evening.

How do I know if I got accepted into UW?

Admitted students will receive an offer packet in the mail containing an official offer letter with assigned major, possible Purple & Gold scholarship offer (U.S. non-residents only), as well as other information about taking the next steps to becoming a Husky.

Unless otherwise stated, electronic applications are due by midnight of the deadline day (not the midnight before it), and snail-mail applications (rare these days) must be postmarked by the deadline day. Frankly, most colleges will look the other way if an application is a day … or even sometimes several days … late.
